Perspective from those ahead
Intimate conversations with senior leaders whose experience and judgment open a world members would not otherwise see from the inside.

A curated network for exceptional early builders and leaders
Tycoon brings exceptional people together before status makes relationships transactional.
Editorial image. Tycoon I begins in 2027.
In twenty years, the rooms that matter will be full of people who met at a Tycoon table.
We are building the network of people who will lead the next generation of companies and institutions shaping the world.
Each year, we select a small class of exceptional early builders and leaders and bring them together repeatedly: four intimate learning experiences with accomplished senior leaders, and four designed around the class itself.
The thesis
The best time to build a consequential relationship is before either person knows how consequential it will become.
Read the thesis ↗The problem
Future founders, executives, artists, scientists, policymakers, and institution builders are already doing work that is beginning to shape what comes next. They are building before anyone is watching and becoming exceptional before consensus has formed.
But the rooms that change trajectories are gated by tenure, capital, or who already knows you. They ask for proof: a title, a track record, a fundraise, or a name the world already recognizes. They open once you have arrived, not while you are still becoming.
And that is precisely when the room would have mattered most.
The people outside those rooms are not lacking in talent. Many are already excellent: promoted early, trusted with responsibility beyond their title, and building things that matter. What they lack is the network that usually arrives with pedigree, seniority, wealth, or accumulated status.
Why Tycoon exists
We are drawn to people operating slightly ahead of the permission they have been given: trusted with more than their title suggests, building before consensus forms, and making rooms stronger without needing the credit.
Too often, the networks that change a life become available only after the title, funding round, or public recognition arrives. By then, status has already shaped the relationship. Tycoon exists to make those introductions earlier.
We select a small class with unusual trajectory, substance, agency, and character, then bring them together often enough to become more than impressive strangers. The bet is simple: meet early, build trust before status intervenes, and carry those relationships into the decades ahead. Our standard is published on the Selection page.
The model
Tycoon is built on three mutually reinforcing elements.
Intimate conversations with senior leaders whose experience and judgment open a world members would not otherwise see from the inside.
People selected for trajectory, agency, substance, contribution, and character. What members take from the table is not only the guest. It is the people sitting beside them.
Enough time together for recognition to become familiarity, familiarity to become trust, and trust to become shared history.
The experience
The Tycoon Experience begins with a twelve-month class year built around eight intimate, in-person experiences in San Francisco. Four bring members into close conversation with accomplished leaders. Four are centered on the class itself, turning impressive strangers into people who know, trust, and show up for one another.

Tycoon does not select the most accomplished people. It selects people whose evidence is exceptionally strong relative to their stage and opportunity, and whose trajectory suggests they may go on to shape companies, industries, institutions, and communities.
